Location: Northern California Region EPIC Sr. Project Manager Major healthcare organization is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to direct, oversee and support new implementations (i.e., EPIC) and major application upgrades. This position works under the direction of the PMO Manager and is responsible for:

• Managing all aspects of planning, scheduling, and managing the implementations
• Ensuring implementations are completed on-time and within budget in accordance with established project and quality standards and procedures
• Leading and guiding project team members
• Acting as a consultant to the project business unit
• Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle as well as the development and maintenance of detailed work plans, workflow reengineering, transition, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, project management, business administration, or other healthcare related field (required)
• EPIC experience
• PMP certification or masters degree in project management (highly desired)
• 6+ years of project management experience (required)
• 5+ years of experience on IT projects (required)
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (required)
• Experienced in the use of MS Project and other standard project management tools (required)
• Experienced in successfully managing the activities of teams in a functional or matrix environment (required)
• Experienced successfully collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
• Experienced building consensus and influencing change (required)
• Knowledge of industry accepted project management methodologies or PMBOK (required)
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (required)
• Knowledge of IT application and infrastructure hardware and software (highly desired)
• Knowledge of the technical underpinnings of the EPIC solution and its potential impact on existing systems and staffing levels required to implement and support the solution (highly desired)
